About VPNwijzer

VPNwijzer is a Dutch comparison site for VPN services. Our goal is simple: to help you choose in plain language, without the exaggerated sales talk that is common in this market.

How we review

Our reviews are based on public specifications, pricing information, independent audit reports and user experiences. We weigh five criteria: privacy (logging policy, audits, jurisdiction), speed, price over the full term, ease of use and streaming reliability. Where we could not verify something ourselves, we say so. We keep updating pages when prices or terms change.

How we make money

Through affiliate links: if you take out a subscription through a link on our site, we receive a commission from the provider. It costs you nothing extra. Commissions differ per provider, and that can be an incentive to promote the best-paying service. That is why we always explain our reasoning on the merits. We also name the drawbacks of services we earn from, and where relevant we mention services without an affiliate programme. Read our full affiliate disclosure.

What we do not do

We do not publish sponsored reviews, providers cannot buy a position in our comparison, and we do not write "best VPN ever" language. If a service is bad at something, it says so.
